The Marks & SThe Marks & Spencer franchise store in St Peter Port, Guernsey, is now smartly dressed in Chromatics safety glass.
Architects Lyons Sleeman Hoare specified Chromatics because the M&S brand colour could be exactly matched, because there is no show-through on the 100% opaque panels and because Chromatics could be used to clad the lift-shaft as it successfully withstands mechanical vibration.
In the event, stone grey RAL 7030 was used in preference to M&S green. 4mm Chromatics was installed by Prism Architectural (Glazing Design and Management) in an 'invisible fix' system, ie. a modified form of structurally bonded rainscreen. John Dugan, Director of Prism Architectural, stated that Chromatics was "very easy to work with" and that "our Projects Director... is keen to use the product again".
